The Mountain Gorilla (Gorilla beringei beringei) is one of the two subspecies of the Eastern Gorilla. There are two populations. One is found in the Virunga volcanic mountains of Central Africa, within three national parks: Mgahinga, in south-west Uganda; Volcanoes, in north-west Rwanda; and Virunga in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The other is found in Uganda's Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Some primatologists say that the Bwindi population in Uganda may be a separate subspecies, though no description has been finished. Q. what are the ethical or social implications of the extinction of Mountain gorilla? Asked by sylar - Thu Apr 2 12:20:01 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. Ethically if it were to happen the world would be losing another species contributing to the massive decline in biodiversity that can be seen in the last 50 years. If wildlife is given an intrinsic value then the loss of any species should be considered detrimental simply because nature has the right to exist. Q. What do you think of the Murder of the 6 Mountain Gorillas in the Democratic Republic of Congo last year 2008. What do you think should happen to the killers. I say that those responsible should executed without trail. This was a deplorable act against an animal that did then no harm. Asked by Terminator - Tue Jan 27 05:39:56 2009 - - 1 Answers - 1 Comments A. It is highly condemnable and I share your opinion of execution of the killers without trial.
